I'm coming to the end of a long job and needed a bit of a boast to get me over the line. Up to now, BBC radio has kept me company. Whether it's been one of their music stations or one of their spoken but I need a lift, a little inspiration.
I've mentioned before, how often in my life, something crops up just at the right moment to move me forwards. An article, a programme, a shared thought from someone. Well this time it was an email from Jim Rohn. Now Jim and I have never met but some how he got hold of my email and sent me a message. Saying it might be worthwhile listening to a 15 minute clip of him, talking about goal setting.
Having nothing planned. I took up Jims offer. It was really interesting. got me thinking, made me feel a little more positive and I've been listening to more him on YouTube for the past couple of days as I wrap the job up.
He's a remarkable fella. Idaho farmboy who made good. Lost it and made good again. After just listening to him, you get the sense he'd be fun to be around. He's self effacing and speaks in that slightly sing along folksy voice I'd associate with, well a farmboy. What makes him even more remarkable is he died in 2009 but still managed to email me.
Hats off to you Jim. You came along at the right moment.
Onwards upwards and careering towards fulfillment :)))
